Set your business details
Your name, ABN, address, phone and logo, entered once and used everywhere.
What this is for
Business details is the one place your shop says who it is: trading name, legal name, ABN, address, phone, email, website and logo. Quotes, invoices, purchase orders, job sheets, the emails Sign OS sends and your online store all read from here, so a new phone number is changed once, not on every template.
What is on this screen
Each part of the screen above, top to bottom, and what changing it affects.
Your logo
- Logo preview · Upload logo / Replace logo
- One logo for everything: the top of the app, your emails, your online store and every quote, invoice and job sheet. PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG, no more than 4000 pixels on its longest side; landscape works best. A new logo is used straight away, with no Save needed.
- Remove logo
- Takes the logo off everywhere. The app goes back to the Sign OS mark.
- Size note
- How big the logo sits on your PDFs, and whether emails show it at the top, are set in Templates, not here.
Your business
- Trading name
- The name your customers know you by. Shown across the app, on your emails and as the heading on your documents.
- Legal name
- Your registered name, such as Smith Signs Pty Ltd. Printed on invoices and what a customer's accounts department files you under. You need a trading name or a legal name before you can save.
- ABN
- Prints on quotes, invoices and purchase orders. An invoice without it is not a valid tax invoice.
- Website
- Your web address, starting https://.
Address
- Address line 1 · Address line 2 · Suburb or city · State · Postcode
- Printed on your documents, and where suppliers deliver when a purchase order says deliver to us.
- Country
- Two letters, such as AU or NZ. Only printed when it isn't Australia.
Contact details
- Phone · Email
- Printed on your documents, at the bottom of your emails and on your online store. The email here is what a customer replies to from a printed document. It is not the address Sign OS sends from; that is Email domain.
- Save business details
- Saves everything on the page except the logo, which saved when you uploaded it. Leaving with unsaved changes asks you first.
Before you start
- You are signed in as the shop owner or an admin. Nobody else can open this page.
Step by step
- 1
Open Settings → Your business → Business details.
- 2
Upload your logo. It is used straight away across the app, your emails, your online store and your PDFs.
- 3
Under Your business, fill in your Trading name, Legal name and ABN, and your Website if you have one.
- 4
Fill in your Address and your Contact details (phone and email).
- 5
Press Save business details. Open any quote PDF to check the header reads the way you want.
Tips & gotchas
- Use your registered legal name and ABN here. They are what a customer sees on a tax invoice.
- If your PDFs still carry a logo that was uploaded just for them before, Templates says so. Uploading a logo here replaces it, so the app, emails, store and PDFs all show the same one.
- Templates no longer has its own boxes for your name and address. It shows what is saved here, with a Change in Business details link.
